OBS was GREAT!!!!Except that it made me MEGA BLACK, SUNBURNED, PUNCTURED WITH THORNS EVERYWHERE, BRUISED, and LEECH BITTEN. I should come with a label that says 'for inddor use only, minimal contact with wilderness' I kind of miss it a little though. Every school should make it compulsory for the form that will be graduating the following year. You learn so much about your friends and all prelimary assumptions/prejudices/justdontlikethepresonisms just kind of fall away into acceptance with the promise of eventual friendship. Which is definitely better than being close to strangers.and I discovered that I can like kayak!!!!!!! cause if you dont already know I have zero ability to do any sport. was an amazing feeling. Maybe sports does inspire confidence. probably not though.
My luggage got taken away by mistake by someone else and I haven't really calculated the costs. but its roughly:
1 pair of Tough jeans
5 jazz pants
1 esprit pants
1 LV toiletry bag
1 shu uemura eyelash curler
1 pair shu uemura fake eyelashes
2 pairs brand new tennis skirts/shorts (skorts??)
11 T-shirts
1 body shop triple eye shadow
1 La Mer face masque
paper undies
8 bras
1 Esprit dress
thats all I can remember for now. I'm sure there's more though. Am practically casual clothes-LESS now. oh and I brought all the makeup for Indian dance NOT OBS. I hope whoever took my luggage returns it.
So I went for OBS with literally nothing but the clothes on my back and my other bag which had:
3 white fluffy towels
1 toothbrush
1 hair iron!!!! =)
1 Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner
1 torch
1 bottle of sulfur
1 I.C.
1 pair of extra shoes
1 face sunblock
bare essentials
was surprisingly calm about it though
and was sort of a mixed blessing cause then I only had to borrow clothes and not lug my impossible luggage all the way, especially during the land bloody expedition. and you find out how helpful your friends really are. When everybody offered to lend me random stuff at the same time in the common room I was really touched. Even some guys offered to lend me clothes if the situation got dire. So no i didn't have to wear towels all the way.
Unfortunately we were hit by a wave of CONJUNCTIVITIS and lots of us had to leave.

List of Casualtieshaha some conjuncts came back to surprise them on the BBQ night thingy though. Even though it took us (me and nadia) lots of effort to even want to go I'm glad we went back.but now its back to real life and work. urgh. I seriously dont know how I can ever do this whole 9 to 5 thing . urgh urgh urgh. But teaching the kids is really something. They're so refreshing and exhausting at the same time.
Had a great time with steph even though i only got to see her for like 3 days =( =(
Going to singapore then china in august .cant wait to get out of here! am going to blow all my money on shoes, perfume, wonka bars and more birthday presents. which are LONG Overdue. sorry guys =(
speaking of which, HAPPY BIRTHDAY again Elsa!!!! I hope you and whatshisname(moogie?) are very happy together etc. etc. and you get to do dentistry in australia not uk etc.etc.will post pictures on face book.everybody who does not have facebook. it is imperative that you get one now!!!
Oh and I went to SETIAWAN (the place where Mr.shih is from and wrote his book about) and I met a FOOCHOW!!!!!!! (as in the Foochows of setiawan)Actually, they're both in my Math class but i only just found out that they're foochows. One of them's from sibu though. was SO excited at the prospect of meeting a foochow. but i think they were a little freaked out by my enthusiasm . One of them even owns mr.shih's book!! (he hasn't read it though)
FOOCHOW#2 who was er driven around a lot by FOOCHOW#2apparently there are only two foochow settlements in malaysia - sibu and setiawan haha. Met specimens from both!
